DalyDose of…6 WEEKS!
There are just about 6 weeks left in 2012. Did you make a bunch of resolutions for yourself that you didn’t keep? Well, now is the time to tackle those issues and we have apps for that!
I am starting up a goal orientated fitness plan for these last 6 weeks and I challenge/invite you to join me. DO NOT WAIT for New Year’s to get this done. Let’s do it now so we can work on bigger, better things in 2013. Read on to join the challenge. Links to the apps, the plan and a little motivation, after the break.
OK, I only know of apps for Windows Phone and Android. If there is an all-in-one 6 Weeks app that covers push-ups, sit-ups, dips, squats and pull-ups, then I couldn’t find it. If someone does find it, please let me know and I’ll include it.
Both apps are FREE. The Android app has a paid version and I’m not sure what you get with that, but this should be a #NoExcuses experience. You don’t need any equipment unless you are going to do the pull-up portion. There’s no gym. You don’t have to go anywhere. You don’t need to do anything but download the app and get started.
I haven’t done this yet, but I think the program is 3 days per week. That leaves you with some extra days to do cardio to boost your fitness level even more. Those are bonuses as the invitation/challenge is for the app program, itself.
You start with a little test to see where you are and then the app configures your “plan” to get you to your goals. You don’t even have to think. You just do it and in 6 weeks you’ll be stronger and hopefully look great for your fancy New Year’s shin-dig where everyone will talk about what they are (not) going to do in 2013. You can tell them that you’re entering the new year with momentum because you just ended 2012 accomplishing goals!! Please, feel free to add other goals for these last 6 weeks. Did you say you were going to start writing? Well, get to it. Did you resolve to declutter? Fire up Craigslist and sell away. Seriously, I hope to have a group of people doing this all together. If we get one, I’ll make a Facebook group so we can be accountable to each other.
