DalyDose of Les Miserables

OK, Christmas is coming up and that means family and presents and worship and…and…big movie openings, obviously.  One of the biggest that is getting all kinds of hype, is Les Miserables and it should make a ton of money.  Watch the trailer here and then get my quick review.

I saw this film as part of the SAG-AFTRA Film Society a couple of weeks ago and I’m just now getting to the review.  This was not an ideal crowd to see this film with.  They seemed more interested in going gaga over anything that Hugh Jackman or Anne Hathaway did. Seriously, if either of those two sneezed the audience went into applause.  When the unknowns had great moments like Samantha Barks did as Eponine, they didn’t even seem to notice.  Such is the hype of a big movie.

Oh well, I’m keeping my opinion to myself and thus I have invited an unnamed reviewer to handle this film.  I hope he doesn’t embarrass me or get me blacklisted.  Let’s see…

Another day, another #NoExcuses video!  Should Russell Crowe get coal for his assault on our eardrums?  Hmmm…if I get the job referenced in yesterday video blog, I’ll see what I can do.  WHAT? You didn’t see “Naughty List Claus“? Don’t worry, it’s still there.
