What The Juice
I am a Midwest-raised, meat eating, beer drinking man, who is about to embark on a 10 Day Juicing “Reboot”. As my friends’ son says, “What the juice?”.
It all started when my neighbor was getting rid of stuff in her apartment. She called me and asked if I wanted her juicer. I expected that she’d have a half-working cheapo model, but I still said “yes”, as I had thoughts of trying such a challenge. I must have made a #NoExcuses manifestation, because this was a really nice Breville, in great condition.

I posted the picture of the juicer on Facebook and people reminded me of a the documentary “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead”. It’s the story of how a man used juicing to get healthy. I re-watched it and decided to jump right in to do what he calls a 10 Day “Reboot” of consuming just the micronutrient rich juices. My friend, Sri and some other Facebook friends are joining me.

So, it all starts Monday. I have a fancy dinner tonight and then I’m going to the Bacon Social, Art and Music event tomorrow. I’ll hit up the Farmer’s Market on Sunday, to prepare for the big challenge. This will be a HUGE challenge for me, so feel free to check up on me to keep me encouraged and motivated. I definitely wouldn’t want to disappoint my neighbor who graciously gifted me the juicer and put this whole thing into motion.
I’m also going to work on my Aussie accent as a bonus! Watch for that in the video updates.

I was REALLY craving a Chipotle burrito, but I **still** haven’t had one. Crazy, right?? I did end up eating kind of poorly so I’m going to do a modified challenge of shorter length and adding chewing. I think I’m going to do a 5 day raw food with juice plus eating raw stuff. I have to find out what is raw. Can I use cold pressed olive oil and lemon juice on a salad? Hmmm…so many questions. That 5 day challenge will be cake…not like having cake. If I can chew, I won’t have the panic attacks in the middle of the night.
